10th March : In Cann River tonight, breathing through a reed. It's so called because of the many 'I think I cann hills' crossed to get here! A group of cyclists have befriended me on the way to Sydney.
Dear followers, Swaggie may have been abducted by aforementioned cyclists because his faithful scribe hasn't heard from him since :) More likely his ph is out of range or out of battery.
Letter 11th March
Yesterday I arrived in Cann River, surprised to see no drink cans floating along. All the waterways in the region are named after mis-spelled household items like; 'Mopp River' and 'Apronn Creek'. The pioneers who risked their lives to make sure of our ongoing amusement are really getting their full appreciation now.
I've been crossing paths with a cycling group who are touring from school to school doing sustainability workshops with kids. They give me food even though they know not to feed the wildlife. It's nice to have some company of fellow travelers so I don't need to put up with my terrible sense of humor all by myself.
Last night when I arrived they invited me to dinner at a local's home, and to camp with them the night in the campground. The home had a permaculture garden but they probably won't invite me to camp again because apparently I snored. In the morning it was nice to share the mosquitoes amongst the nine of us. They're part of the 'Otesha' project; sounds top secret but they're quite open. The school at Cann River is small and has an impressive average of six students per teacher. This is the type of personal attention all students deserve and I'm envious of them. Today is a half day for me, I'll rest, write and get slowly ready for an afternoon walk.

Apologies for more dreadful swaggie humour :) I wish he would hurry up and tell us which road he is taken, as it splits at Cann River; two paths to choose from, the coast road to Genoa or the inland road through National Park to Bombala. I will keep you posted as soon as I hear from him.
