Fwd: The Walk

The Sustainable Living Festival takes place in Melbourne this year from 19-21Feb 2010. I intend on walking from this festival to arrive before Brisbane's Greenfest (4-6 June 2010).

 

The traditional Australian swagmen made the walking journey to places they'd find work. I'll journey between two of the most aware calander events in Australia to volunteer at each of the festivals.

 

I'll walk the entire distance along the Princess Highway and the Pacific Highway carrying everything I need and picking up supplies from towns I pass through. On the way I'll realise a milestone of not having been in a car for over 2years.

 

I look forward to the adventure and the challenge. Melbourne is a great town but I can't wait to get out on the road.
